Works By Shirray Langley
|
Shirray Langley has developed a distinctive approach to the figure over
many years of working and exhibiting. Her figures – spare, abstracted,
and beautifully drawn – enact situations and relationships which are
instantly familiar and acutely observed. Her recent paintings, executed
in oil on Mylar, combine characteristically controlled drawing with flat
areas of artfully modulated colour and simple compositions. Shirray is a
graduate of the Ontario College of Art and received a B.A. from York
University with a major in Creative Arts.
